This policy applies to all registered users of the myWerfen website.

This Privacy Policy governs the way Werfen UK collects and uses information through the myWerfen UK site. 

We reserve the right to change this policy at any time. All changes made, will be notified on successful logon. The policy will be freely available through Lotus Notes for employees to review.

    3.Responsibility and Authority

The Managing Director will approve this policy and any subsequent changes.

The Managing Director has delegated security and legal admissibility responsibilities to the Technical Services Manager. Security responsibilities are described in the Werfen Information Security Policy Manual.

The Technical Services Manager is responsible for the ongoing review of this document to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate. 

The document will be reviewed annually.

    4. Policy Objectives

Werfen Limited (“Werfen UK”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy governs the way Werfen UK (“us” or “we”) collects and uses information through the myWerfen UK site (the “Site”). The Site provides a platform for users to access and receive information about Werfen UK news, events, educational content, and products, including package inserts and material safety data sheets (MSDS), and provides a portal for other Werfen UK Resources and dashboards such as ISI Calibration Web Site (ISIweb) (the “Services”). 

This Privacy Policy and any further modification set out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us will be processed by Werfen UK and/or its affiliates.  Please read the following carefully to understand how we treat your personal data and how we will treat it.  By accessing the Site you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy. 

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 10th June 2016.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (and subsequent amendments) the data controller is Werfen UK of 712 The Quadrant, Cavendish Avenue, Birchwood, Warrington, Cheshire, United Kingdom. 

Information you give us
When you register on our Site, request our Services or correspond with us or participate in any discussion boards or other social media functions we may collect personal information that can identify you (Personal Identifiable Information (“PII”)) such as your full name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, and information regarding the institution for which you work. We may also collect non-personal information about you, such as what type of Werfen UK product you use. The information that we collect varies depending upon how you use our Site and Services.

In addition to the personal information that you provide us, we may automatically collect information about users, including technical information that we use to improve our Site and Services and to better serve you.  This includes, but is not limited to, information relating to the device used to access the Site, information about your visit, including but not limited to traffic data, response times and the length of visits to certain pages and information on your location.

The third party service providers that we use to provide services to you will safeguard and protect your information in a similar manner.     From time to time we may revise this privacy policy. If we make revisions that change the way we collect or use your PII, those changes will be posted in this privacy policy and the effective date will be noted at the beginning of the privacy policy. Therefore, you should review it periodically so that you are up to date on our most current policies and practices. If we make material changes to our practices regarding use of your PII, your PII will continue to be governed by the privacy policy under which it was subject prior to those changes, unless you have been provided notice of, and have not objected to, the changes and continue to use the Site and/or the Services. 

    Children’s online privacy protection
    Children under the age of 18 must not create an account through our Site and should not submit any information to us.

    Access to information
    The Data Protection Act 1998 and subsequent amendments gives you the right to access information held about you. Please contact us via email with your right of access requests, we will provide you with details of the information we hold about you.
